After Hours
After Hours released their debut album, Take Off, in 1988 through FM-Revolver Records. The band featured a line up of John Francis on Lead Vocals, Tim Payne on Lead Guitar, Martin Walls on Bass Guitar and Mark Addison on Drums. Keyboards on the album were played by Rick Young, though he was credited separately from the band. This album marked the start and the end of After Hours‘ relationship with FM-Revolver.
Judithe Randall pitched Global Chrysalis Music (now BMG) some songs for After Hours through Peter Knight Jr, who became a great supporter of the Randalls. Global picked out 3 songs for the band to cut, which they did, and the Randalls signed a sub-pub deal with Global. Despite this, for reasons still unknown to us, the album was never released. The Randalls remained signed to Global. Judithe and Robin asked John Francis to sing on their epic song “Can’t Keep The Wind From Blowing” of which he did, and remained in contact with them.
Finally, in 2021, Andrew McNiece was able to secure rights to release the recordings of After Hours, along with the help of John Francis, and the resources of Peter Knight Jr.

The album entitled Long Way from Love was re-released on Frontiers Records in 1998. This album version included some of the live performances Free gave while in Manchester, England for the first rock festival known as "The Gods of AOR" in October 1993.
Shortly after the release of Long Way from Love, Unruly Child, after losing their record deal with Atlantic/Interscope, had reformed under the moniker Twelve Pound Sledge and were writing new material in hopes of re-signing with another U.S. label. That never happened, though songs from these sessions were later released in 1995, as a solo album on independent labels in Germany and Japan, entitled Tormented.
Marcie Free retired from the music business and moved back to Michigan to be close to her family. However, she still sings professionally on the side and in September 2009, Free, Gowdy and Allison reunited as Unruly Child and signed a recording contract with Frontiers Records. A new album with that label, Worlds Collide, has been released to critical acclaim. Unruly Child's triad (Free, Gowdy, Allison) continues to write and record. They released a new album in 2014 entitled Down the Rabbit Hole on the band's own label "Unruly Records”.

Along the way she met musicians and writers who were generous and kind and took her under their wing. She spent a summer with Al Jarreau who took her along to the studio for recording sessions, which were the first pro sessions she had ever sat in on. Al had a great impact on her writing. She won an international songwriting contest for her first lyric “Hero of My Heart”.
Later on, Nancy was introduced to Judithe Randall, who recognized her talent and her passion for lyrics. She introduced Nancy to her daughter, Robin. Nancy sent lyrics to Robin and they began to collaborate. Judithe also introduced her to other writers and out of those introductions came more lyrics and more songs. Tim Simms

He has a strong passion for what he does and only 'takes on' a few clients per year so he can dedicate as much personal attention to the success of an artist's career as possible.
